On June 6, 2025, two new Pokémon TCG sets destined to make history will be released in Japan: Black Bolt and White Flare . What are Black Bolt and White Flare?
Black Bolt and White Flare are twin sets in the Scarlet & Violet line of the Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG). They are scheduled for release in Japan on June 7, 2025. The two sets celebrate the Unova region and its Pokémon, with entirely new cards, each of which will have at least one Illustration Rare (AR) or Special Illustration Rare (SAR) version .
All the Unova Pokémon in a double set
For the first time, a TCG expansion will include all 156 Pokémon originally discovered in the Unova region. Each creature will receive a dedicated card with an AR or SAR variant, giving each Pokémon a unique artistic interpretation. This makes Black Bolt and White Flare not only a complete set but also a visually stunning collectible experience.
The project echoes the spirit of the "Pokémon 151" set, dedicated to the first generation, but with an even more ambitious expansion. The goal is clear: to offer a complete, artistic, and iconic collection .
